Grace Marie Abbott McKinney, 86, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Diversicare of Amory. She was born in Marion County, AL to Pilgrim and Dollie Beasley Abbott. She worked as a caregiver for many years.
A private graveside service will be held at Bethany Cemetery on Wednesday with Bro. Bobby Dill officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her son, John McMillan (Beth); granddaughter, Ashlyn McKenzie McMillan; sister, Linda Oliver; step-brother, James Sanderson (Barbara); sisters-in-law, Faye Abbott and Helen Abbott; brothers-in-law, Bob Lewis and Jimmy Dale Smith.
She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Junior Upton; brothers, R.B., L.G., David and Jimmy Ray Abbott and her sisters, Jewel Triplett, Joyce Pruitt, Shirley Cayson, Janice Lewis and Glenda Smith.
Pallbearers will be John McMillan, Thomas Cayson and Nathan Blaylock.
