In Loving Memory of Norma Vantour (Mamie)
Norma Vantour, age 81, of Huntsville, Alabama, entered into the presence of her
Lord and Savior on October 19, 2026.
Born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1944, Norma spent her childhood in the small
town of New Gloucester, Maine. She later made Huntsville, Alabama her home, where
she spent most of her adult life building a family and blessing those around her with her
love and kindness.
To know Norma was to know a woman whose faith was at the center of everything she
did. She loved God with all her heart and demonstrated that love through the way she
cared for His people. She had a gentle spirit, a generous heart, and a gift for making
others feel welcomed, accepted, and loved. Whether through a kind word, a quiet act of
service, or simply being present when someone needed her, Norma lived out her faith
every day.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving and devoted mother, and proud
grandmother. Nothing brought her more happiness than being surrounded by those she
loved. She celebrated their successes, encouraged them through challenges, and never
missed an opportunity to remind them how much they meant to her.
Survived by her children Dominique (Tim) and Aaron; her treasured grandchildren,
Cale (Morgan), Jack (Mary Beth); her precious great-grandson, Penn Timothy
Kreger; and brother Albert Jordan (Shirley).
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Carolyn Taylor and Marvin
Jordan.
While her family mourns the loss of her physical presence, they find comfort in the
legacy of faith, love, and compassion she leaves behind. They are grateful for every
lesson she taught, every prayer she whispered on their behalf, every sacrifice she
made, and every memory they shared together.
