Sandra Carol Peatfield, 67, of Athens, AL, passed away Tuesday October 20, 2026, at her residence in Athens, AL. She was born to Robert Vaillancourt and Mary Vera (Lawler) Vaillancourt in Lowell, Massachusetts in April, 1959. She graduated from Lowell High School in 1977, and married the love of her life in 1985.
Sandra enjoyed making cards, homeschooling her children, playing Boggle, and giving gifts. She loved encouraging others, being Nana to her grandchildren, and feeding backyard birds. Most of all she loved God.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Sandra is survived by her husband Chris Peatfield, one son Christopher Peatfield II (Emily), three daughters Kendra Peatfield, Kara Saint (Daniel), Kimberly Wess (Kevin), one brother Robert C. Vaillancourt (Sue), one stepsister Barbara Hague, nine grandchildren Philip, Benjamin, Joshua, Megan, Stephen, Lexie, Troy, Sadie, and Joseph.
Visitation will be Saturday October 24, 2026, at McConnell Funeral Home from 12:00-1:50 P.M.
Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 P.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Jonathan Tilley, Jeremy Martinez, Perry Clark officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
