Louise Johnson, 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Marianna, Florida. She was born on July 24, 1929, to the late Roy and Ada Gilley. Louise was a member of East Booneville Baptist Church. Throughout her long life, she was blessed with the love of family, and it was in the simplest, most precious moments that she found some of life’s greatest joys. She especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding happiness in their sweet singing, warm embraces, and the love they so freely shared with her. Those tender moments of laughter, affection, and togetherness were among the many blessings that made her life so special.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Oaklawn Memorial Park with Bro. Sean Musgrove officiating.
She is survived by her daughter, Lesia Cartwright (Steve); sisters, Joyce McCreary (Smith Ray), Elva Robinson (Bobby), Kathy Reed (Kenneth), and Lucille Parrish; grandchildren, Candace Crutchfield (Jonathan) and Sarah Musgrove (Sean); and great-grandchildren, Shelby Crutchfield, Abigail Crutchfield, Clark Musgrove, Prentiss Musgrove, and Lawson Musgrove.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Knox Johnson; brother, Edward Gilley; sister, Jane Davidson; brothers-in-law, Bromley Parrish and Bobby Davidson; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Gilley.
