Robert Virgil Collum, 82, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Red Bay, AL to William Andrew and Dora Blevins Collum. He was a hard worker raising cattle and baling hay for the public for many years. He was a friend to all he met and would help anyone in need.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 19, 12 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Robert Wood officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, October 18, 6-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Collum; children, Dennis Collum (Tanya), Carrie King and Andrew Collum (Keisha); grandchildren, Brodie Collum, Ean Collum (Nevaeh), Josie King, Emma Collum and Abel Collum; great-grandchild, Swayze Ivy; brother, Micheal Collum (Deb); several nieces and nephews and special friend, Richard White.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kenneth Collum and Terry Collum.
Pallbearers will be Josie King, Brodie Collum, Ean Collum, Emma Collum, Abel Collum and Richard White.
