Ryan “Craig” Lollar, age 48, passed peacefully at his home on October 15, 2026. Born on March 11, 1978, in Amory, MS, Craig lived a life defined by faith, family, service, and kindness.
A 1996 graduate of Lamar County High School, Craig was a lifelong resident of Vernon and a faithful member of Oakes Chapel Baptist Church. Alongside his wife of 19 years, Jessica Fields Lollar, he built a life centered on love, devotion, and community.
For more than two decades, Craig proudly owned and operated Westside Service Station, where he became known not only for his work ethic but also for his generosity, compassion, and genuine care for others. Recently named Vernon’s 2026 Citizen of the Year, Craig was a trusted friend and valued member of the community whose kindness touched countless lives.
Those who knew Craig will remember his warm smile, quick wit, and playful sense of humor. He loved cheering for the Atlanta Braves and Alabama Crimson Tide, but nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family and cheering on his sons, Zane and Jace, as they competed in football, baseball, and basketball.
Craig faced a 29-month battle with cancer with remarkable courage, strength, and unwavering faith. Even during life’s greatest challenge, he remained positive, hopeful, and dedicated to being present for his family and friends.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 18, at 3:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Joe Moseley and Michael Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be 12:00-3:00 prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Michael Matthews, Jon Guyton, Fred Odom, Jason Gilliam, Michael Foster, Marty Burns, Corey Lollar, Ryan McGee, Todd Foster, and Kenny Humber.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica; sons, Zane and Jace Lollar; parents, Dennis and Sheila Lollar; sister, Dana (Todd) Foster; nephew, Greyson; niece, Saige (Boston) Rogers; great-nieces, Kingsley and Brylee; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Craig’s legacy of faith, generosity, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
