Dennis Wilford Temple, 90, of Joppa, Alabama, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born May 16, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Grady Temple and Elizabeth Alexander Temple.
Mr. Temple served in the United States Army, the United States Navy, and the Alabama National Guard, completing a combined 41 years of service from 1955 to 1996. He also worked as a custodian at Samina/SCI.
Known for his playful sense of humor, Dennis especially enjoyed joking and playing with his grandchildren. He was also passionate about skydiving.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Pat Sartain; sons, Perry Adams and Kenny Adams; grandchildren, Charlotte Adams, Peggy Sanders, Junior Adams and David Harper; 10 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and brother, Roger Temple.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Steele Temple; parents, Grady and Elizabeth Temple; sons, Jerry Adams and Charles Adams; daughters, Faye Adams and Ann Adams.
The family has chosen to honor Dennis’ wishes for cremation with no formal public service. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel are assisting the family with arrangements.
