Arthur “Steve” Harrison, age 78, of Vernon, AL, formerly of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at BeeHive Homes of Marion in Marion, MS. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Sulligent City Cemetery. Bro. Jason Clifton to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the graveside services from 1:00pm until 1:45pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
Steve was born on January 26, 1948 in Sulligent, AL to the late Arthur Harrison and the late Nettie Vinson. He was a 1966 graduate of Sulligent High School and later graduated from UAB. Steve retired from Alpine Truss Company. He loved showing his antique cars and was known to be an avid Alabama fan. Steve also enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Mulberry Springs Baptist Church. His loving memory and gentle spirit will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family and all those who loved and knew him.
