Betty Jo Oliver, age 92, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away on October 5, 2026. She was born on December 5, 1933, to the late Arthur Berry “A.B.” Whitmire and Rosa Lee Paul Whitmire.
Mrs. Oliver was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was an important part of her life, and she leaves behind many loved ones who will cherish her memory.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Hyde, Karen Oakley, and LaWayne (Mary) Oliver; son-in-law, Mike Lee; grandchildren, Chass Hyde, Leslie (Ky) Gregory, Joshua Hyde, Terry Lee, Hanna (Brandon) Denton, and Casey (Brooke) Oliver; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, G.V. Oliver; daughter, Sandra Lee; sons-in-law, Ronald Hyde and Jim Oakley; brothers, Paul (Louise) Whitmire and M.J. (Dorothy) Whitmire.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Chapel with Bro. Brent Roe officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery in Albertville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in Mrs. Oliver’s memory. Adams Brown Service Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Betty Jo Oliver.
