Brenda Hobbs Laden Profile Photo Brenda Irene Hobbs Laden passed away on October 4, 2026, at the Savannah Health Care Rehab Center with her devoted husband at her side.

She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 9, 1949, the daughter of the late B.C.

Hobbs and Eloise Poole Hobbs. She was the youngest of three children. She was a graduate of Lipscomb University and began a career as an assistant county extension agent and 4-H Leader in Wayne County, Tennessee. There she met her future husband, Bobby Laden, while he was working for Tennessee Valley Electric Cooperative and spending part of his time working in Wayne County. They were united in marriage on July 26, 1975.

Brenda was a faithful member of the Savannah Church of Christ and taught first grade and was a Sunday School Coordinator for many years. She was also a girl scout leader and a member of the HCHS Band Booster Club. She enjoyed canning and freezing vegetables out of their garden, sewing, and assisting students at elementary school.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years and their daughter Laura Beth Laden of Nashville, one sister Pat White of Lebanon Tennessee and one brother Clinton Hobbs of Hendersonville, Tennessee and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial donations may be made to the Savannah Church of Christ Youth group and mailed to 1175 Pickwick Street, Savannah, Tennessee, 38372.
