Debbie Lynne Suarez age 70 went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2026, surrounded by loved ones, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born October 8, 1955, to her parents, the late Kenneth and Marlene Van Patten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Michael and Kenneth Van Patten, brothers-in-law, Floyd Cantrell and Vic Loden. Debbie was retired from Federal Mogul. She is survived by sisters, Bonnie Cantrell (Mike), Cindy Loden; sister-in-law, Dorothy Van Patten; adopted children, Tanisa Butzback and Juan (Sylivia) Suarez; grandchildren, Billy and Austin Conery, Alonso and Maria Suarez; nieces and nephews, Marlene, Vicki and Ryan, Chris, Misty, Debbie and Josh, Carlos and Nicole, Harley, Randal and Kandy, Dennis and Monica, Steven and Melissa, Kristy, Kyle and Dillon; uncle, David Van Patten; aunt, Sherry Dubois; several great nieces and nephews and friends also survive. The family has chosen direct cremation per Debbie’s wishes. There will not be any services held. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses in memory of Debbie. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Suarez family.
