Larry K. Blair was called home to glory at Parkridge Medical Center on Monday, September 28, 2026 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, at the age of 69.
Larry is survived by his Wife, Heather Blair, Children, Jason Blair (Tabitha), Rylei and Bayleigh, Grandchildren, Lauren Rose Blair, Siblings, Barbara Fennell of Huntsville, Rita Blair (Bob) Essig of Scottsboro, Betty Blair of Scottsboro, and Ron Blair of Huntsville. Larry leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, special cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his Father, Clyde L. Blair, Mother, Gladys V. Blair, and Brother, Michael L. Blair.
Larry was born April 16, 1957 in Scottsboro, Alabama at Jackson County Hospital, to Clyde and Gladys Blair. He graduated from Scottsboro High School in 1975. He attended Snead State Jr. College then completed his college career at Jacksonville State University. It was at JSU that Larry meet Rosie Dennard. They married and had two children Jason and Lauren. Larry and Rosie made their home in Rome, GA. Rosie was a teacher and Larry worked in mental healthcare.
A funeral is scheduled for 1:00 PM at New Hope MB Church in Hollywood, Alabama. Sunday, October 4, 2026 at 1:00 PM with Pastor William R. Tibbs officiating. A reception for the family will follow the interment at the Old Baptist Cemetery in the fellowship hall.
Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro is in charge of arrangements for Larry.
