Mrs. Shelia Brown Blackwood, age 79, of Gurley, formerly of Lawrenceville, Ga. died on Friday, October 2, 2026, at North Alabama Specialty Hospital.
A Graveside service will be held at two o’clock p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026, at New Hope Cemetery with Elder Matt Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Blackwood was born in Georgia on July 1, 1947, to Robert & Vada Wells Brown
Mrs. Blackwood is survived by her Husband: Leland Blackwood of Gurley. Brother: William M. Brown of Georgia. Special Nephew & Neice: Tim & Shannon Blackwood of Tennessee.
Mrs. Blackwood was preceded in death by her Parents: Robert & Vada Brown.
