James Leroy Burgess passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 80.
Born on October 10, 1945, Leroy will be remembered with love and respect by those who knew him. His life spanned eight decades, and his memory will remain with his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Burgess. Their memory together remains an important part of his life story.
Leroy is survived by his son, Rodney Burgess of Iowa. May his family find comfort in cherished memories and in the lasting presence of his life in their hearts.

No public services will be held. Burial will be in Thaxton Cemetery.
