Lanny Lentz Turner Profile Photo Lanny Lentz Turner, age 89, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Clara Smotherman Turner; brothers, Willard Turner and his wife Jean Turner, and John E. Turner; sister, Robbie Hall and her husband Thomas Hall, Jr.

He is survived by his son, Bobby Turner and his wife Jenny; grandchildren, Perry, Carolina, William, and Olivia Turner; sister-in-law, Judy Turner; special friends, Sandra Turner, George Annen and his family, and Rachel Badhe; beloved pets, Lacy and Marcy Jo; several nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

Lanny was a member of Rocky Glade Cumberland Presbyterian Church and 1956 graduate of Eagleville High School. He was a master mason, founding member of the Tennessee Valley Pioneer Power Association, and served as the mayor of Eagleville for several years. He spent most of his life on the farm where he milked cows and had a deep appreciation for old tractors and machinery. Above all, family was the most important part of his life and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 4:00-5:00 PM at Rocky Glade Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Celebration of life will follow.
