Mary Joe Gray, age 80, of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, passed away on September 28, 2026, in Selmer, Tennessee.
Born on December 5, 1945, in Bethel Springs to the late Douglas White and Myra Virginia Coley White, Mary Joe spent her life as a devoted homemaker, caring deeply for her home and those around her.
Mary Joe brought warmth, conversation, and joy to everything she did. She loved babysitting and holding a special place in the lives of the children she cared for. An avid deal-finder and socializer, she loved holding yard sales and connecting with her neighbors. She also took great pride in her appearance, always staying loyal to her favorite Mary Kay makeup.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Gray; her parents, Douglas and Myra White; six brothers, Eugene White, John William White, James Harold White, Gary White, Rickey White, and Mickey White; seven sisters, Zeta Dickey, Geneva Howell, Virginia Walton, Marilyn Presley, Dorothy Weatherford, Jewell Richards, and Billie Faye King; and two half-brothers, Ernest White and Frank White.
Mary Joe is survived by her brother, Marty White and wife Nancy of Finger, TN; and her sisters, Carolyn Harris of Jackson, TN, and Wanda Kilpatrick of Corinth, MS; along with a host of extended family members, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
