Virginia “Gina” DiMucci (Rohac) passed peacefully on July 16, 2026.
Born in PortVue, Pennsylvania on November 23, 1933, to George and Susan Rohac, whom both immigrated to the area at a young age from Slovakia, Virginia was the sixth of eight children in the Rohac family. After graduating from McKeesport High School, Virginia attended McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing which led to a lifelong nursing career of over forty years.
In 1957 Virginia met the love of her life, Daniel “Dan” DiMucci, with whom she shared sixty-two loving years of marriage. The people they loved the most, knew them collectively as “Mom and Dad,” “Baba and Pappy” or “Aunt Gina and Uncle Dan.” Virginia is survived by her sister Marion Greenland of Beaver, PA; children: Nancy Roig of Anniston, AL and Dan (Paula) DiMucci of PortVue, PA; grandchildren Natalie (Michael) Roig-McKnight, Torie (Brian) Argus, Bridgette Memmo and Donato DiMucci; great-grandchildren; as well as many other loved nieces, nephews and extended family. No one doubts that Virginia will be excited to reunite with Dan in the eternal life.
Family and friends alike knew Virginia’s laugh, smile and familiar eye roll. She enjoyed time at the beach – first at Conneaut Lake, PA and then Myrtle Beach, SC. Everyone who knew her knew how much Virginia treasured her time with family, especially her grandchildren and they will always imagine hearing her say “I love you.”
Virginia’s family will remember the best times, laughter and good life shared with her when she was her truest self. Her story will continue with them knowing that Virginia’s mind is at ease and her soul is at rest.
Throughout her life, Virginia was an active member of the Catholic faith and a devout believer in the Resurrection, angels and the communion of saints in Heaven. Family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday October 10, 2026 at 11am at Saint Patrick (Perpetual) Church, located at 310 32nd Street, McKeesport, PA, to celebrate Virginia’s life and devotion to the Church.
