Bobby Wayne Moore, age 78, of Summertown, TN passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026, at his residence. He was a native of Leoma, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, retired farmer for JRN, and a member of Chapel Grove Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Jackson Moore; his mother, Ila Mae Cotton Moore Cooper; his step-father, John Wesley Cooper, Jr; his wife, Jackie Elaine Powell Moore; and two brothers, James Moore and Jesse Moore.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristy Newton (Tim) of Loretto, TN; one son, Rodney Moore (Diane) of Summertown, TN; four grandchildren, Matthew Moore (Fiancée Kara Perry) of Summertown, TN, Colton Newton (Skylar) of Five Points, TN, Karlee Newton of Loretto, TN, and Mattie Moore of Summertown, TN; two brothers, Hollis Moore (Pauline) of Columbia, TN, and Dwite Moore of Savannah, TN; four sisters, Betty Cummings (Donnie) of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Helen Chapman of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Francis “Pat” Fralix of Columbia, TN; and Linda McCrary (Ray) of Hampshire, TN; one half-sister, Darlene Tidwell of Lawrenceburg, TN; one step-grandson, Bowen Jordan; his dog, Oakley; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, September 28, 2026, with Aaron Battey officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Grove Cemetery in Summertown, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
