Michelle Lynn Pounders, 55, a native of Cherokee, Alabama, passed away on September 25, 2026, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love for her family and friends. Born on October 29, 1970, Michelle was a woman who found her greatest joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life.
An outdoors enthusiast at heart, Michelle loved nothing more than going fishing, playing horseshoes, gathering around the table for a game of cards, and bringing people together for family cookouts. Her laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Charles Freeman Pounders; her beloved daughters, Jennifer Lynn Pounders (Jacob Stricklin) and Kimberly Nichole Pounders; her precious grandson, Danny Ray Stricklin; and her special nephew, Jacob Cupp (Star).
Michelle was preceded in death by her loving mother, Shelby Hockett.
