Mae Katherine Hutchins was born on May 3, 1935, to the late Ella Mae Talley Hutchins and Willey Hutchins. She departed this life on September 15, 2026, at home peacefully. Mae was a social worker for the State of Illinois until her retirement in 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents Ella and Willey Hutchins, sisters Ella Lee and Judith Ann Hutchins, nephew Stephen Hutchins. Mae was a devoted member and former Mother of White Rock Primitive Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory a loving son (nephew) Josh (Julie) Hutchins of Melbourne, Australia Daughter (great-niece) Dominique (Michael) Walker of Chattanooga, TN, nephew Timothy Hutchins of Chattanooga, TN, nieces Phylice (Steven) Hutchins, Tellico, TN, and Ella (Gregory) Wisdom of Stevenson, AL. Grandchildren: Trenell, Felichia, Melissa, Damalachi, Shamicah, and Hezekiah. Also, her beloved companion JR. Great nieces: Katherine (Darrell) Jackson, Ashley (Randy) Dawson. Great Nephews: Johnathon, Carlton, and Blake (Andrea) Wisdom. 32 great-great nieces and nephews and a host of special family and friends. Special thanks to her caregivers Phylice and Ella. Devoted cousins Joe Hutchins, Dorothy Dillard, Clifford Hutchins, and Kenya Chubb and a devoted friend Ulyess Adams of Chicago, IL.
