Thelma Jo Fountain, 84, Cherokee, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026. Visitation will be Monday, September 28, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will immediately follow with Dwayne Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Mount Springs Cemetery, Cherokee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Fountain; children, Benny, Steve, Jacky and Ricky; parents, Bill and Lilly Standfield; brothers, Marvin and AJ; sister, Cathy.
Thelma Jo is survived by her children, Gary, Larry (Mabel); daughter-in-law, Lisa; brothers, Dexter and Howard; six grandchildren; great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Guy Watson, Scott Pounders, Nicholas Pounders and Randy Pounders.
