Bobby Gene Keeton, age 77, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026, at his residence. He was a native of Waynesboro, TN, retired owner of Keeton’s Garage, and a past elder and member of Salem Church of Christ. Mr. Keeton served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Eunice Clay Keeton; three sisters, Carolyn Keeton, Glenda Long, and Joyce Hill; and one brother, Harold Keeton.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Ann Keeton; one son, Tony Gene Keeton (Jamie); one daughter, Diana Michelle Smith (Jason); six grandchildren, Cheyenne Rochelle Keeton, Sadie Elise Smith (Adam Honn), Castin Lane Smith, Austin Green (Elizabeth), Bevin Collins (Seth), and Jimmy Davis (Alicia); five great-grandchildren, Aniston Davis, Denton Davis, Raylynn Collins, Brewer Collins, and Kynlee Collins; three brothers, Buck Keeton (Margaret), Billy Keeton, and Jimmy Keeton; and one sister, Sue Holloway (Roger).
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 27, 2026, with Skyler Hyde, Bill Murphy, and Keith Barnett officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
