Howard Ray Scott, age 62, of Double Springs passed away Thursday September 24, 2026, at Princeton Baptist Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He was born December 7, 1963 to Alvis and Blanche Scott. Howard was an avid fisher and loved watching wrestling. Visitation will be Sunday September 27, 2026, from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Howard is survived by his parents, Evelyn and Billy Spires; sister, Jenny (Johnny) Garner; brothers, Tony (Bridget) Engle, David (Tabatha) Engle, Kelly Scott, and Stevie Scott; niece who was like a daughter to him, Jennifer Belk; nephew who was like a son to him, Justin Vickers; and a host of nieces and nephews.
