The love, husband and soulmate of my life, Richard (Dick) Rose passed on September 19,2026. Born 08/14/1946 to Arden and Myrtle (Harmon) Rose in Beaver Dam, WI. He graduated from University of Wisconsin. Stout with a degree in Industrial engineering. He also served in the National Guard for six years during the Vietnam War. His career was with Wisconsin Power and Light / Alliant Energy and American Transmission companies. He retired and in retirement moved to Guntersville, AL. He also volunteered as an EMT in Middleton, Wisconsin and at the Shepherds Cove Hospice in Albertville, Alabama. He was a perfectionist no matter what the project! He loved art, music, carpentry, golf but most of all family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Julie, a sister Pat Kapppl, a nephew Todd Kappl, a niece Annie (Eric) Rowland. He is preceded in death by his parents and Brother In Law Joe Kappl.

Julie would like to express her heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Shepard’s Cove Hospice for the exceptional care, love, and comfort and support they provided Dick throughout his journey. Your kindness and dedication brought peace during a difficult time, your compassion will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers I ask you to make a donation in Dick’s name to Sheppard’s Cove Hospice in Albertville, Alabama. Per his request there is no formal funeral service.
