Robert was a family man through and through. He was headstrong, strong-willed, and never afraid to speak his mind. He stood firmly on what he believed and lived life on his own terms. He could be an a**hole at times, but underneath it all, he meant well and loved his family deeply. Those who knew Robert knew exactly who he was—unapologetically himself, with a heart that cared more than he sometimes showed.
Robert enjoyed the simple things that brought him happiness. He loved fishing, working on cars, playing poker, and shooting pool. He also had a knack for finding a legal hustle and making money. Whether he was working with his hands, enjoying a game, or spending time with the people he loved, Robert lived life with his own unique spirit.
Robert leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and who will carry his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lori Edwards; Ex-wife and friend, Teresa Edwards; his children, Justin Edwards (Shamee Edwards), Brandon Edwards, Brittney Johnson (Darak Johnson), Hannah Edwards, and Alexis Edwards (Cameron Crowell); his stepdaughter, Allyson Staats(Joseph Staats), Tori Gregory; his grandchildren, Tiana Williams, Thomas Williams, Hendrix Beebe, Sebastian Edwards, Lilly Edwards, Noah Edwards, Geras Johnson, Adaline Edwards, Kaleb Edwards, Merida Edwards and Evelyn Staats; his sister, Melissa Blankenship; his brothers, Joe Winsett and Roy Blankenship; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Blankenship; his stepfather, Allen Blankenship; his grandson, Jamison Edwards; his granddaughter, Ara’Leigh Johnson; his stepson, Alexzander Brown; and Leicester Danielle Blankenship.
Though Robert is no longer here, the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave will remain with his family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Robert’s life, share memories, and celebrate the man he was.
