Funeral service for Joseph Parker Prince, age 46, of Trinity, will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Barker officiating. Mr. Prince, who died Sunday, September 20, 2026, at his residence, was born January 4, 1980, in Alabama to Randell Fred Prince and Teresa McBride Prince Portzer. He was preceded in death by his father. He was a devoted husband and father; he had the utmost love and pride for his son, Boone. They were best buddies. Joe was a servant for the Lord who was a deacon and faithful member of Beltline Church of Christ. He coached soccer and basketball for West Morgan Youth League. He loved his nephews and nieces, and proudly wore the title “Uncle Joe.”
He is survived by his wife, Leigh Michelle (Adkins) Prince; son, Boone Thomas Prince; mother, Teresa McBride Portzer (Layne); brother, Daniel Prince (Nicole); sister-in-law, Rachel Dixon (Brandon); nephews, Christopher Hutchins (Lauren) and Jamie Prince (Sarah); nieces, Hannah Dixon and Amelia Dixon); and great-niece, Freya Prince.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Dixon, Josh Suggs, Nathan Walden, Jason Spivey, Ben Macklin, and David Filyaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Hutchins, Jamie Prince, and Boone Prince.
