Leslie Wendell Terry, 85, of Moulton, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026 at his home in peace surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Bro. Tim Box and Bro. Larry Dyar officiating. Burial will be at Corinth Missionary Baptist Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Born on May 22, 1941 to the late Leslie and Christine Smith Terry, Wendell was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church for 52 years where he served as deacon for over 25 years and was also the Sunday School Superintendent. He loved to fish and hunt in his younger years and was very devoted and loving father and grandfather to his family.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Paulette McCormick Terry; children, Steven (Karen) Terry, Shelania (Carlton) Dotson, and Patrick (Amy) Terry; grandchildren, Krystle (Joe Walter) Norris, Leslie (Abby) Terry, and Payton (Noah) Harville; great-grandchildren, Joanna Norris, Annie Mae Terry, Emma Terry, and Kyndall Harville; sisters, Brenda Long, and Trudy (Charlie) Parker; five nephews, two nieces, and extended family.
Wendell was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Neal Terry, and Gerald Terry; sisters, Nella Parham, and Wilma Bradford.
Pallbearers will be Leslie Terry, Joe Walter Norris, Noah Harville, Carlton Dotson, Michael Terry, and Jeff Bradford.
The family extends special thanks to Dr. Robert Hall and Hospice of the Valley; and his daughter, Shelania Dotson.
