LIMESTONE COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident involving a pedestrian has taken the life of one person:
“A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian occurred at approximately 7:35 a.m. Friday, September 18, has claimed the life of a Lester man.
The pedestrian, Timothy S. Jackson, 64, who was standing in the roadway, was critically injured after being struck by the 2006 Ford Econoline van driven by Daniel S. Lamar, 41, of Athens.
Jackson was transported to Huntsville Hospital for medical treatment. At approximately 1:05 p.m. Saturday, September 19, Jackson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The crash occurred on Short Cut Road near Bob J Road, approximately two miles south of Lester, in Limestone County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
