Barbara Ellen Copeland Daniel was born October 24, 1941 in Town Creek, AL to the late William Paul Copeland and Mamie Sue Thrasher Richardson. She was united in marriage to Raymond Earl Daniel on June 06, 1959. Mr. Daniel preceded her in death on September 24, 1998. This union was blessed with six children: Francine “Tensey”, Anthony, Stephanie, Stephen, Timothy, and Jeffery. Mrs. Daniel worked 40 plus years, starting at Genesco and ending her career after the name changed to Texas Boot Company. She loved to work with her hands, growing a beautiful garden every year and spending time canning the produce she had grown. Without a doubt, she was the happiest when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Collinwood Church of Christ Mrs. Daniel departed this life on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 making her stay in this life some 84 years, 10 months and 22 days.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Anthony Daniel and wife Lisa; Stephanie Ayers both of Waynesboro, TN; Stephen Daniel and wife Tabitha of Smyrna, TN; Timothy Daniel and wife Teresa of Florence, AL; her siblings, Eleanor Jackson of Collinwood, TN; Frank Richardson and wife Sue of Gray, GA; Jerry Richardson and wife Mildred of Cabot, AR; Ricky Richardson and wife Elizabeth of Collinwood, TN; Suzie Butler and husband Gary of Waynesboro, TN; she is also survived by seven grandchildren, Bradley Daniel of Florence, AL; Dakota Daniel and wife Emily of Murfreesboro, TN; Brittney Davis and husband Ben of Tuscumbia, AL; Shelena Norris and husband Jonathan of Mt. Juliet, TN; Kelsey Mathis and husband Cody of Waynesboro, TN; Skyler Daniel; Destiny Daniel both of Smyrna, TN and five great grandchildren, Gage Mathis, Emmett Norris, Gavin Daniel, Ember Mathis, Wyatt Norris and one great grandchild soon to arrive, Evie Daniel.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Daniel, daughter, Francine “Tensey” Daniel, one brother, Charles Copeland, and four sisters, Billie Jean Copeland West, Magnolia “Nolie” Lovelace, Kathrine Brewer, Joyce Bornack and her son-in-law, Jerry Ayers.
Visitation with the Daniel family will be on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again on Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM all at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel
Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel with Travis Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery in Collinwood.
