Janice Marie Bratcher age 85 of Smithville passed away Friday September 18, 2026, at her daughter’s home.  She was born November 5, 1940, to her parents the late, James Ernest and Jessie Louise Raymond Winchester.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Comer Bratcher; sisters, Mary Sue Chapman, Janie Thomason and Joyce Jack; brothers, James Ernest Winchester, Jr, and Ricky Winchester.  Ms. Janice attended Assembly of God Church and worked at the Shirt Factory for many years.  Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday September 20, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Chris Moore officiating and burial to follow in Banks Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 4 PM till 8 PM and Sunday 10 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM.  She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Bowling of Murfreesboro, Stephanie (Robert) Myers of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren, Zackary Bowling, Ashley (Steven) Mullane, Brinlee Myers, Hudson Myers; six great-grandchildren, Malachi Revette and Ruby Bowling, Liam Parker, Noah, Rowen Mullane; sister, Linda Pedigo; several nieces and nephews also survive.  The family ask in addition to flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Ms. Janice.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Bratcher family.
