Sheri Lynn Palmer, age 62, of New Albany, Mississippi, departed this life on September 16, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital–Union County in New Albany.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at New Albany Funerals and Cremations, with Bro. James Steele officiating. Public visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at Center Baptist Church Cemetery.
Sheri was born on December 31, 1963, in New Albany, Mississippi, to the late Donald Palmer and Janie Melson Palmer. She was a dedicated factory worker who spent 10 years at Albany Industries in New Albany.
Sheri was a hard worker known for her funny and humorous personality. She loved her family dearly and had a special love for music. She brought laughter and joy to those around her and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Crystal Heatherly and Destiny Faith Palmer, both of New Albany; one sister, Donna Anderson; and five grandchildren, Waylon Dwayne House, Kelsey Arlene Clark, Tyler Heatherly, Bryce Heatherly, and Simon Heatherly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Palmer and Janie Melson Palmer; one sister, Lisa Segar; and one brother, Steve Palmer.
Sheri Lynn Palmer will be remembered for her hard work, humor, love of family, and love of music. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
