Gladys Partridge, age 98 of Addison, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Hendrix Health and Rehab. She was born November 28, 1927 to Robert and Luelen Lackey. Gladys was a member of The Church of The Forest in Grayson, Alabama. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, working in the garden and cooking big meals for her family, especially fried apple pies. Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Nichols Funeral Home Addison, where the service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs. Brother Tim Harris will officiate. Gladys is survived by her son, Hermon Wade Partridge; daughter, Cheryl (Lanier) Godsey, Debbie (Eddie) Densmore; and Patti Schoonover; grandchildren, Jamey (Rob McGurie) Hill, Clint (Lora) Hill, Ashley Partridge, Laurel (Lee J.) Simmons, Erin Godsey, Greg (Jeretha) Densmore, James (Heather) Lee III, Stephanie (Robert) Branham, Angie Snyder and Jasmine Partridge; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Luelen Lackey; spouse, Herman Partridge; sons, James Ronald “Pete” Hill and Danny Ray Partridge; son-in-law, Philip Schoonover; grandson, Randall Dale Schoonover; granddaughter, Lana Sha Partridge; daughter-in-law, Kay Hill; as well as four brothers and four sisters.
