Schela was preceded in death by parents, Ottis and Marjorie Dutton, and a brother, Gary Dutton.

Schela is survived by daughters, Michelle Riethman-Aufderhaar and Angela Norman(Chris); grandsons, Brenden Riethman, Gabriel Aufderhaar, Phillip Aufderhaar, Jacob Riethman and Greyden Norman; a sister, Anna Noah; brothers, Ken Dutton and Oneal Dutton; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
