David Wayne Gilbert passed away on September 12, 2026 at the age of 47. He was born on October 18, 1978 in Huntsville, Alabama.
David played baseball for UAH and received his MBA from University of Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Gilbert; brother, Bill Gilbert; and grandparents, Brink and Lorene Canada, George Gilbert and Dorothy Smart.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Dianne Gilbert; sisters, Jeanie Thomas (Kevin) and Debbie Drago (David); sister-in-law, Donna Gilbert; uncle, Gary Canada (Kathy); and special friend, Sarah.
A graveside service will be held on September 16th, 2026, at Charity Baptist Church Cemetery, at 11:00am.
