It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother, sister, aunt, and mawmaw, Helen Jones Scott…. September 10th, at Shepherd’s Cove in Albertville with her family by her side….
She loved and cared for so many children in her lifetime and was simply “Mawmaw Helen” to them all. She was truly the definition of a mother/grandmother.
Preceded in death by husband Jimmy Scott, daughter Donna Oliver, mother Lena Jones and father J.L. Jones, brother Billy Jones and sister Maxine Alexander
Helen is survived by her children, Phillip Oliver (Darlene), Kevin Scott (Lisa), Selena Matthews (Chris), Jennifer Smith (Danny); sister, Jimmie Holmes (Philip); 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at Concord Baptist Church on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 11am with Bro. Wiley Bailey and Bro. Tim Brooks officiating. Burial to follow in adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026 will be at Adams Brown Funeral home from 4:30 until 7:00 pm.
