It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brandi Olsen Fuson, age 45, of Petersburg, TN, who left us on September 8, 2026, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. Born on March 3, 1981, in Huntsville, AL, Brandi was a bright, curious, and deeply compassionate soul whose genuine warmth touched everyone around her.

Brandi’s life was defined by her fierce devotion to her loved ones and her community. As a manager at Paislee’s Place in Petersburg, she poured her heart into her work, using her talent in the kitchen as her primary love language to nourish and care for those around her. Brandi possessed an insatiable appetite for learning. She was highly educated in the medical field, routinely conversing with her doctors on their level, and held a passionate interest in spirituality, frequently reading her Bible and studying world religions. Above all else, her children were her absolute world, and she loved her family fiercely and without reserve.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil Anthony Fuson; her parents, Chris and Martha Olsen; her cherished children, Sagan Randy Fuson, Scarlett Rose Fuson, Dante Rhett Fuson, James Cole, and Adrian Cole; her sister, Emily (Michael) Webster; and brother Chris (Courtney) Olsen.

A celebration of Brandi’s life will take place from 2 PM to 4 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Paislee’s Place, located at 147 Railroad St, Petersburg, TN 37144. Music and refreshments will be provided. In honor of Brandi’s lifelong passion for bringing people together over a good meal, guests are kindly asked to bring a favorite side dish to share as family and friends gather to remember her, stories, and celebrate her legacy through the love of food.

In lieu of flowers, Sagan and Scarlett have asked that donations be made to organizations that provide cancer research in memory of their mom.

Higgins Funeral Home is privileged to offer comfort, care, and support to the family of Brandi Olsen Fuson.
