Toye Ann Carter Creel, age 90 of Tuscumbia passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026. Her visitation will be Saturday, September 12th from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm with Rev. Barrett Long officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscumbia Oakwood cemetery.
Mrs. Creel retired from Colbert County Hospital after many years of working in the lab. She was preceded in death by parents, James Madison Roberts Carter and Maggie Louise Arnold Carter; sisters, Mildred, Geneva, Edna Earl, Dorothy, and Lois; brothers, James Russell, Jack, Gene, and Jimmy Ray. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Tuscumbia.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, James M. Creel II; children, Jim Creel (Charity), and Stephanie Creel Brock; brother, Morris Carter; sister, Joyce Chambers; grandchildren, Jacob Brock (Tatyana), Ryan Brock, Sydney Creel, Sarah Creel, and William Creel; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family expresses special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama.
