Michael Leoid Jones  Michael Leoid Jones was born January 21, 1929 and went to be with his Lord on September 5, 2026, he was 97 ½.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife Bettye Kilgore Jones, his parents Wesley & Vera Jones, his sister & brother- in- law Charlsie and Clyde George.

Mike is survived by his son Michael Louis Jones, nieces & nephews, Martha Aday Boogaerts, Gloria Aday Jones, Van George, Adam George, Clay George, Natasha George, Mark Trace George & other relatives. Mike joined the Air Force in 1947 and was honorably discharged In December of 1949.

Mike earned a pilot license and flew crop dusters for a while. He joined Wolverine Tube and held various positions throughout his career. He traveled to many of the Wolverine Plants in the US and Canada to help solve machine issues. He retired from Wolverine in 1986.

Mike began playing golf after he retired, and he has lots of trophies to prove his skill at the game. Mike played golf until he was 90 years of age.

September 15, 1950, Mike became a Master Mason with Rising Lodge #29. Mike was Worthy Patron of the Mary Lou Dancy OES ’59-’60 and held at least 20 positions in the Masonic Lodge such as Council of Anointed High Priest in ’65, Holy Royal Arch Knight Templer Priest ’68 Grand Commandery of Knight Templer ’73-’74 and served on the finance committee for 18 years. Mike received his 75 Year Masonic Pin this past March.

A graveside Masonic Funeral will be Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 11 am. at Roselawn Mausoleum in Roselawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers, Macon Jones, Van George, Adam George, Mark Trace, George, Ken Busby, Bill Means, Phillip Sherman. Honorary pallbearer, Maurice Means

Decatur Brown Service will be handling the services.
