Larry Kenneth Winton, age 76 of Asia, Tennessee was called home on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Highpoint Health Medical Center. A native of Frankin County, Larry was born in Winchester on September 25, 1949, to the late James Winton and Lucille (Jones) Winton. For many years, Larry worked in the Automotive Industry in Detroit, Michigan. After his retirement, Larry and his devoted wife, Mary, moved back to Tennessee, a place they called home. In his leisure time, he enjoyed listening to music and watching television, cooking, and working in the yard when he was able. Larry always had a sense of humor, and he enjoyed making people smile. He especially loved his four-legged companion, Bucky. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of twenty-nine years, Mary (Hendon) Winton; and son, Quan Winton of Detroit, Michigan. He is also survived by his brother, J.C. Winton of Ohio; special nieces, Ebony Johnson, Anne Mason, and Marleen McGee; two special and devoted dear friends, David Brown of Detroit, Michigan and Ms. Margaret; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his siblings, Mildred Cannon, Thelma R. Vanzant, Maxine Roberson, Mary Alice Vanzant, Charlie Winton, Robert Winton, Willie Winton, Paul D. Winton, and Harold Winton. Visitation will be from 12-1pm on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
