Funeral service for Roy Lee Weeks, Sr., age 82, of Hillsboro, will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Sherrill and Rev. Lavanul Sherrill officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Weeks, who died Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at his residence, was born December 16, 1943, in Alabama to James Otis Weeks and Annie Ruth Jones Weeks. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Harvey Weeks, Leslie Weeks, Delta Weeks, and Jimmy Weeks; granddaughter, Destiney Weeks; and brother-in-law, Billy Blazer. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and was a member of Harvestfield United Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Ross (Hutto) Weeks; three sons, Roy Lee Weeks, Jr. (Sheila), Scotty Laron Weeks (Gidget), and Michael Maurice Weeks (Nicole); four brothers, Wayne Weeks, Howard Weeks (Molly), Roger Weeks (Lori), and Glenn Weeks; five sisters, Jeanette Blazer, Sandra Siegel (Bill), Judy Wells, Carolyn Hall, and Wanda Dewberry (Randy); two sisters-in-law, Brenda Weeks and Sharon Weeks; six grandchildren, Brandon Weeks, Alexis Weaver (Caleb), Elijah Weeks, Isaac Weeks, Charlee Weeks, and Isaiah Weeks; two great-grandchildren, Barrett Weeks and Murphee Weeks; and a host of extended family,
Pallbearers will be Michael Weeks, Elijah Weeks, Isaac Weeks, Scotty Weeks, Brandon Weeks, Roger Weeks, and Roy Lee Weeks, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Weeks and Wayne Weeks.
