Paula Michelle Phillips Profile PhotoPaula Michelle Phillips, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 49. Born on May 25, 1977, in Huntsville, Paula was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and teacher whose life was rooted in family, care, and service to others.

Paula devoted her professional life to education. She was an educator with the Madison County School System at Riverton Intermediate, where she taught for 23 years. Through those years, she gave her time, energy, and heart to her students and colleagues, and her steady presence in the classroom became a meaningful part of the lives of many families in her community.

Above all, Paula will be remembered for the love she shared with her family. She leaves behind her daughters, Taylor and Savannah Tomasi, and her granddaughter, Rynnlee Wooldridge, who brought joy to her life. She is also survived by her mother and father, Rhonda and Jackie Phillips; her sister, Melinda Williams and Bucky; her grandmother, Willodean Hicks; and her niece and nephew, Kenlee Williams and Evan Williams. Each of them carries forward treasured memories of Paula and the special place she held in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Tommy Hicks, and by her grandparents, Kenneth and Lois Phillips. Their memory remained part of the family story that shaped Paula’s life.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home & Crematory, 2305 Memorial Parkway NW, Huntsville, AL 35810. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Elder Darren Carter and Brother Greg Driver officiating.  Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

Paula Michelle Phillips will be remembered with love, gratitude, and deep affection by all who knew her. Her life touched her family, her students, and her community, and her memory will remain a lasting blessing.
