Ruby Jo Harris Echols left this world on September 8, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born on October 22, 1933, to the late Joe and Annie Harris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Echols; son, Randy Echols; grandson, Jody Echols; son-in-law, Barry Staton; sisters, Sally Lee of Attalla and Barbara Jones of Boaz; and brothers, Gerald Harris of Albertville and James Harris of Gadsden.
She is survived by her two daughters, Anita Thacker of Boaz and Judy Staton of Albertville; four grandchildren, Deanna Thacker of Boaz, David Staton of Albertville, Casey Echols (Kelly) of Scottsboro, and Josh Daniel (Nikki) of Snead; three great-grandsons, AJ Curtis, Thomas Wayne Curtis (Ashley), and Devin Olochawa; three great-granddaughters, Corley Daniel, Fallyn Daniel, and Jordyn Daniel, all of Snead; and one great-great-granddaughter, Bailey Curtis.
Pallbearers will be Josh Daniel, Joshua Pendley, AJ Curtis, Thomas Wayne Curtis, Tony Calhoun, and Eric Cathey.
Services will be held on Friday at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m., all in the chapel, with Bro. John Beck officiating.
