Ivan Martel Young, age 66, passed away Friday September 4, 2026 at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital from a sudden illness. Ivan was an Ohio native born on December 27, 1959 to the late David B. Young and the late Vera Katie Duckworth Hillis. He was a retired welder, pipeliner and was a spiritual person.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister; Sue Savage and his stepfather; William “Bill” Hillis.
Ivan is survived by his loving family, son: David Young, grandchildren; David Patrick Young, Carleigh Elizabeth Young, Caroline Elaine Young, Camryn Alexis Young, life partner; Marina Cornett, special bond daughters; Makayla Cornett Bain, Maegan Cornett. He is also survived by several siblings and a large extended family.
A graveside service will be held Monday September 7, 2026 at 11:00am at Shockley Cemetery with Bro. Jeff Worrix officiating.
