Funeral service for Lynsy Rae (Whitlock) Whitehead, age 47, of Decatur, will be 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Woodall officiating. Mrs. Whitehead, who died Saturday, September 5, 2026, at her residence, was born July 18, 1979, in Alabama to Bobby W. Whitlock and Janie Rebecca Standridge Whitlock. She loved watching her sons participate in sports. Her fur babies held a special place in her heart. Her leisure time was enjoyed pencil coloring and toes in the sand at the beach.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Whitehead; sons, Evan Newman (Victoria) and Owen Newman; parents, Bobby and Janie Whitlock; and sister, Leslie Whitlock.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
