Kenneth Wayne Evans “Squeak”, age 71, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, passed away on September 4, 2026. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia with the funeral service following in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Brother Scott Livingston and Brother Jeff Newton will officiate the service. The burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Debbie Moore Evans; his daughters, Erica Jacques (Jason), of Tuscumbia and Erin Jefferys (Eric) of Loxahatchee, FL. His grandchildren, Sydney Jacques, Marley Jacques, Ian Jefferys, Corbin Jefferys, and Caitlyn Pace; and his great-grandson, Warren Pate. Sister Dot Grider (Randy), brother Bo Evans (Debbie), and brother Chuck Evans
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Elvard and Billie Evans, and his brother, Vance Evans.
Kenneth was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a devoted member of Valdosta Baptist Church, where he faithfully worshiped and served as a deacon. Kenneth enjoyed sharing his faith and the Gospel through singing. Kenneth loved the Lord deeply and demonstrated that love through his service to his church, his family, and those around him.
Kenneth proudly served in the Army Reserve and enjoyed many interests throughout his life. He earned his pilot’s license and had a true passion for flying. He was also an avid golfer and shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Sadie.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, respiratory therapist, and staff of Helen Keller Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Jason Jacques, Eric Jefferys, Ian Jefferys, Corbin Jefferys, Shawn Malone, and Blake Evans. Archie Kimbrough, Ben Terrell, Nick Smith, and Dennis Willingham will serve as honorary pallbearers.
