Officiated by Brother Greg Stutts .
He was born May 28, 1944 in Florence, Alabama to Joseph & Flora Townsend, raised in the Central community. He was a man who never met a stranger — with a quick joke, a big laugh, and enjoyed teasing his grandkids right up until his last days.
If you knew Billy, you knew he loved music.
He got his first guitar at 14 and never put it down, loving nothing more than playing with his son-in-law Greg ,and for his church family on Sunday mornings at State Line Church in Tennessee.
He loved fishing, camping, , horses , his Levis & Boots.
He loved a good episode of Gunsmoke, cooking and thrifting with his beloved wife, Linda. More than anything, he loved his evening talks with her.
Billy’s love for his family shined in the way he lived for the Lord. And the way he loved his wife Linda of 64 years was beautiful.
And Billy made sure he told everyone he met all about her.
God brought them together and they built a beautiful life .
