Glenda Carolyn Williams passed away peacefully in her home in Bremen, Al on Wednesday September 2, 2026. Glenda was born on March 13, 1945 in Coxs Creek Kentucky, she was one of three children born to Earl and Martha Spratt. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with the service starting at 11:00am, visitation will be one hour prior to the service with burial at Rice’s Chapel in Bremen.
Glenda was a long time member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church. She loved driving. She drove semi trucks at one point of her life, along with driving a school bus both in Washington State and in Walker County Alabama. Her final driving {also a bus} was for Sumiton Baptist Church where she took the seniors out on day trips. She really enjoyed taking the road less traveled without a GPS. Her life touched many chapters of our families history and she will be remembered by those who knew her in different ways. She couldn’t wait to be reunited with Doug and to go to her heavenly home.
Glenda was preceded in death by her husband; Doug, her parents; Earl and Martha Spratt, and brother; Jimmy Spratt.
She is survived by her two daughters; Mellany Fields, and Karen Hardy, Five grandchildren; Joshua, Joseph, Jessica, Makayla, Katie, Amelia, and Olivia, four great grandchildren; Shaun, Lilly, Daniel, and Zoey.
