SCOTTSBORO-Deputies responded to a 911 call on Cobb Street in Woodville on August 31,2026 at 12:03am.
Deputies located Daniel Hunter Thompson, age 29 of Woodville inside the residence deceased with apparent gunshot wounds.
Robert Dennis Smith age 39 of Woodville was arrested and charged with the murder of Thompson. Thompson and Smith both resided in the residence.
The victim’s body was taken to the Alabama Department of Forensics Sciences for an autopsy.
