Virginia Harris, age 93 of Double Springs, passed away Friday, August 29, 2026 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born August 10, 1933 to Sherrill and Dessa Sutherland Harris. Virginia was a 1951 graduate of Winston County High School. She was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Rock Creek Cemetery. Brother Danny Page will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ron Harris, Rich Harris, David Harris, Jr., Chris Mathis, Lee Mathis, and Dakota Sides. Virginia is survived by her son, Rodger (Susie) Sides; daughters, Sandra (Wayne) Dill and Sonja (Steve) Cook; brothers, Ernest (Margie) Harris and James Harris; grandchildren, Mary Cason, Melinda (Jerry) Edwards, Chris (Deborah) Mathis, Lee (Angie) Mathis, Dakota Sides, Sarah (Tommy) McGaughy, Hunter Cook, Amy (Scott) VanWagner, Laura (Shane) Ware, and Shannon White; several great and great-great grandchildren; and special friends, Celesta Hill, Sandra Whitman, and Jayne Kelly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherrill and Dessa Sutherland Harris; son, Ronald G. White; brothers, David Harris and Marlin Harris; granddaughter, Camilla White; great grandson, Chad Markham; and special friends, Blake McDonald and Lucky Payne.
