Hannah Denice Marbry Profile PhotoHannah “Han” Denice Marbry, age 23, passed away on August 17, 2026, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Born on March 24, 2003, in Corinth, Mississippi, to Terry Walter Marbry and Melissa Ann Smith, Hannah lived a life filled with energy, laughter, and an unmistakable bright spirit.

From an early age, cheerleading was Hannah’s absolute passion—it was everything to her. Even after her high school years, her love for the sport never faded. She took immense joy in training her niece, Gracyn, and could often be found attempting cartwheels and twisted cartwheels, laughing and insisting she wasn’t in shape for them anymore.

Growing up, she shared a classic, fun-loving bond with her siblings, especially her brother Trenton. He never missed a chance for classic brother-sister teasing, moments that became cherished family memories full of laughter.

Hannah worked at Monogram in Selmer, Tennessee, where she proudly operated a forklift. Outside of work, she lived for adventure, loving nothing more than listening to music, spending time on the water wake surfing, and showing off her signature color, teal, which was always painted on her nails.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Carolyn Marbry.

Hannah leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever. She is survived by her father and stepmother, Terry and Jenny Marbry, of Selmer, TN; her mother, Melissa Prather; her loving partner and boyfriend, Donald Buffkin III; her brother, Trenton Marbry, and his wife, Brooke, of Henderson, TN; her sister, Toni Kelley, and her husband, Nick, of Toone, TN; her sister, Brianna Penley, and her husband, Dylan, of Selmer, TN; and her half-sisters, Makayla Whitaker, Peyton Whitaker, and Sasha Marbry. She also leaves behind her cherished grandfather, Woodrow Marbry, and grandparents William Claude “W.C.” and Billie Smith, alongside her beloved nieces Gracyn and Tegan Kelley, and nieces and nephews Wyatt, Allie, Aria, and Sean.

“Han” brought light, fun, and unconditional love to everyone around her, and her vibrant memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
